Subdividing and Re-zoning

Densification is the buzz word of the era. In the Tri-Cities, many older homes are located on large lots that have the potential to be subdivided. Of course this is often a shame as we see the big suburban lots of our childhood memories disappear. However, the financial reality is that a house on these lots may be worth less than the value of the lot subdivided into two or even three. So to goes the affordability; a smaller lot is more affordable and may sell faster, legally suited homes offer mortgage abilities to otherwise unqualified buyers and duplexes and townhomes reduce purchasing costs while increasing land use.
